BB - 71 & BB - 93 Ray Unicorno/Striker D125CS
Ray Unicorno/Striker D125CSBB - 71 Ray UnicornoBB - 93 Ray UnicornoHasbro Ray Unicorno/Striker |
Ray Unicorno/Striker overall is a good beyblade purchase. Ray is a mediocre attack fusion wheel and looks similar to the storm and galaxy wheel, except that the "wings" are no sloped but has a bump on the middle of each one and is straight. This wheel though has since been outclassed by different fusion wheels like the Vulcan Fusion Wheel. Next on the list is the D125 track. As said previously in previous articles, the D125 track is suppose to have a effect like the T125 track, creating somewhat air force around the track, but the effect is negligible. Also the track can be used as a decent alternative for defense customs. Finally a very unique and fun tip, CS. The CS tip. when launched at an angle and onto the stadium, will move in a aggressive pattern or motion due to the traction or friction it produces between it and the stadium floor, but since it is rubber, you would need to replace it somewhat oftenly, due to the rubber wearing down eventually... this problem goes with all rubber tips. Eg. RF, R2F, RS, RSF, CS are all rubber tips that need to be replaced soon after purchase. Also this beyblade is considered the best uncustomized attack type beyblade due to the extreme versatility of the CS tip and the mediocre smash attack Ray Wheel.
EVERY BLADER SHOULD OWN 2-4 OF THIS BEYBLADE, ASIDE FROM COLLECTION PURPOSES!!! Note: There are two versions of this typical beyblade, maybe three depending if you count it yet, but the two main ones are BB - 71 and BB - 93. The BB - 71 was released with Takara-Tomy and was the first booster released for Ray. Sometime after, Takara-Tomy released another version for it, which was the BB - 93, which was really similar to the first one, but what differentiates between the two versions is that the BB - 92 spin track and performance tip were clear versions of the original version. Note2: Ray Unicorno/Striker has two names to it, "Ray Unicorno" AND "Ray Striker" "Ray Unicorno" being the Japanese name for it. AND "Ray Striker" being the English name for it My Recommendation Rate: 78% |
Energy Ring: Unicorno/Striker
Weight: ???
The color of this wheel is a semi-transparent teal green color. This ring features three unicorn heads with orange horns, forming a triangle. It also has a lot of rigid details to it, which is Masamune's partner in Beyblade Metal Masters/Beyblade Metal Fusion Season 2/Metal Fight Beyblade Explosion Season 2 |
Fusion Wheel: Ray
Weight: 30.4 grams
Ray consists of three separated protrusions; the slight gaps between the protrusions on the outer part of the wheel provide it with Smash Attack. The gaps curve outwards more on the inner part of Ray. Each protrusion has a flat front with a tip slightly slanted upwards on the end. In the inside of Ray, the letters R-A-Y can be seen on the top of each protrusion. Every protrusion has two slightly squared dents that allow for stickers to be placed on them, with a total of six stickers that can be placed on the sides of the Wheel. Three more stickers can also be placed on the top of Ray. Rayhas shown some prominent Smash Attack when placed at the 100 Track. However, WB is now outclassed, which leavesRay to only be used against CS, RS or RSF based Defense types. Since Ray is unable to keep up with these said Defense types, Ray has become outclassed. |
Mold Variation
Ray has two different molds. The first mold was released in the Ray Unicorno D125CS Starter Set, and the second mold was released with the Ray Unicorno D125CS Aurora Version, the Ray Unicorno D125CS Booster Set, and Ray Gil 100RSF. The second mold rectifies the original mold’s breakage problems, with the gaps between the second mold are slightly wider and are more rounded on the inner gaps of Ray than the original mold.
Spin Track: D125 (Defense 125)
Weight: 2 grams
The D125 track has a broad disk around it and four "connectors" to connect to the main part of the track. This track has no Defense Capabilities whatsoever, but has some attack and stamina potential. It can be a good Attack alternative to the 145 track or if the 145 isn't available, the T125 is an excellent alternative to it. This track is the next in line after the brilliant alternative T125. This track also seems to have decent or else good stamina due to some of the weight focusing on the outside of the track. A good combo that I have experienced personally is: Gravity Perseus D125WD Beyblades that have this part: -Rock Orso D125B -Ray Unicorno D125CS |
Performance Tip: CS (Coat Sharp)
Weight: ???
The CS tip is a very unique tip and only comes with Ray Unicorno. The performance of this tip seems to be like the FS tip, but is more aggressive. The appearance is simply a plastic S bottom, with the addition of the rubber coating. This was the first S bottom that actually had some use, due to the extreme versatility. CS also has two different attack patterns to it, first being when launched at an angle or hit onto the stadium's slope, it will move aggressively due to the rubber to the increase amount of traction when it hits the stadium's floor, causing more grip. The other mode being just launched at a straight angle, causing it to move less and stay in the middle. But a downside is that, like RSF, when in mint condition, it is very hard to control and is not aggressive in mint condition. This is due to the plastic part is extended too far from the rubber coat. It is recommended to wear down the plastic part of this tip so that the plastic and rubber align each other to get the aggressive movement to it. |
